New Bundles

You may have noticed some new bundles sneaking into the shop.  Antifreeze, Brandy Fizz and Louisville are the new Aqua, Pink and Deep Blue selections.

Greyhound

So many collections are coming out with a grey colourways at the moment and I totally approve.  It is a great 'mixer' of a colour, complimenting every other so well. 

This new bundle 'Greyhound' is a mix of six grey fat quarters and is in the shop now.  I'm coming to the end of my current quilt project and think that this might be the basis of the next one.  What to mix it with though?  Yellow?  Blue?  Green?  Hmmmm...

It's like the calm before the storm here at Backstitch HQ.  I can feel the tension building.  I had to take a break in ordering new fabric lines when I knew we were moving house, and then of course on the other side there is always a little bit of a lag.



Beachcomber Bundle

However, I am waiting on a stock EXPLOSION!!  Honestly, I've gone a bit bonkers and I can't wait.  We're going to be stocking some exciting things like Aneela Hoey 'A Walk in the Woods', Cloud 9 'Alegria', Denyse Schmidt 'Flea Market Fancy Legacy 2012', Lizzy House 'Hello Pilgrim', Ellen Luckett Baker 'Quilt Blocks' and Lucie Summers 'Summersville'... and much more!  We're also getting in 15 of the most delicious colourways of the Moda Crossweaves.



Fine and Dandy Bundle

So, a small apology that I have let things run out rather, but just you wait!!  Eeek!!

In the mean time, I've put a couple of new bundles together: Fine and Dandy for tones of blue and green; Sunsplash for the killer blue and yellow combo; and, Beachcomber for the yellows.

Hoarding and Scrap Packs

I've got a crime to admit to.  I've rather been hoarding end of line scraps.  See this big pile here?  This contributes to nearly two years worth of bolt ends.  Yes, I know, something has to be done about it.  All these beautiful fabrics, just sitting there... Criminal.

So, I'm going to let them go in the form of the Backstitch 'Lucky Dip Scrap Pack'.  For the measly sum of £6 you get 100g of delightful fabric scraps from this stack.  100g is somewhere between 0.75m and 1m of fabric.  All pieces are of a useful size - no piece will be smaller than 4 inches wide or 4 inches tall.  You will get between 5 & 15 different prints (depending on their size).  As an example I have taken a photo of the contents of one of the packs.

There's a lot you could do with this bundle of goodness!

And... they all come prettily wrapped, so perfect as a gift too.

Orangeade Parade

I've just put seven new bundles into the shop.  I love this new selection, and really enjoyed putting them together.

There are some new colour grouped bundles.  I can't decide if Blue Blazer or Orangeade Parade is my favourite.


Merry Widow

And then I have some Lily Keziah bundles too: the Merry Widow, and the Pussyfoot.  In each of these you get a fat quarter of the most beautiful screen and block printed patterned fabric, and two corresponding Klona cottons.

The Hurricane - new and improved.

Not too long ago we added the 'Hurricane' to our selection of bundles.  This was nineteen fat quarters of each of the Klona Cottons that we had in stock.  Since then, we have expanded our range of Klona colours to twenty-nine and so a change of tactic was necessary with the Hurricane. 

Those of you who are not familiar with the Klona (not to be confused with Kona) Cotton.  This is a medium weight, wider width cotton which has a lovely quality of colour and weave.  We sell the Klona Cotton at £5.50 a metre.

Anyhow, we decided to split the Hurricane into 'Strong' and 'Soft' palettes.  The 'Strong' consists of fifteen fat quarters, and the 'Soft' of fourteen.  The bundles do not overlap in any way, so to order both gives you twenty-nine fat quarters - one of each colour in our plains range.

And, whilst we are on the subject of our Klonas, we have added a swatch card to the shop.  So now you can colour match before you buy.
