One of my very best friends is one half of Gather. Gather are a new independent pattern house based here in the UK. They've just put the call out for pattern testers for their debut pattern. The pattern is a chic day dress with a sleeveless or long sleeve option. They are looking for a range of sewing abilities. For more details see this blog post.
Sorry can't help. I haven't sewn clothes for the longest time ever. It's really been years like 25 I probably still could but your friend would have to risk it. I do know how to read patterns and sew on my machine and do darts and stuff so maybe I could after all. If she wanted someone that hasn't sewn a garment for a very long time let me know. Patti xxx
